Fit and sizing
The top is designed as a relaxed-fit for your size. The diagonal cut between fabric colours creates a flattering break across your body. The longer length on this design fully covers your bottom and thighs and sits just above the knees of an average 5’5” woman. It includes slits on either side of the thighs to allow for comfortable movement despite its longer length.
Model is 5ft, 7.5inches / 172cm, 35” bust, 26” waist, 36” hip, is a UK size 8-10 (EUR 36-38) and wears Lanuuk size S.

I’m honestly so impressed with the Lanuuk Maya swimsuit. As a new hijabi, I was genuinely dreading my next swimming holiday and feeling anxious about finding something I’d feel comfortable and confident wearing. Lanuuk made that transition so easy and reassuring.
The design is modest yet truly beautiful and flattering. The swimsuit is light to wear, not bulky or overwhelming, but still provides the coverage I need. It’s perfectly balanced, not too much and not too little. The longer dress length works so well for my long legs and gives great coverage without feeling restrictive.
The fit is comfortable, the fabric is high quality, and I can move easily in and out of the water while still feeling confident and covered. It’s rare to find a modest swimsuit that feels this practical and elegant at the same time. I’m so grateful to have found this and would highly recommend it to anyone, especially new hijabis navigating swimwear for the first time.
This is the BEST swim wear I ever had!!! I recently had the inner conviction to dress more modestly - for the glory of God and also self-respect. Actually I always found it weird that it became socially okay to wear underwearlike things infront of everyone publicly and that just because its swim wear fabric its suddenly appropriate. Doesn't make sense. Also I don't want men to look at private parts of my body anymore. So wow, this is the best. Its amazing to wear it! The fabric is soft and the fit is perfect. As a hijabi I’ve struggled to find something that is modest, looks great on and dries quick! This outfit did just that for me. Worth the investment as the material dries quicker than others so you don’t have to sit freezing at the beach.
I’m usually a size S/M however, I bought a L because I preferred it a little looser than the picture.

Totally in love with their products. Don’t hesitate. If you want it loose take a size up. I wear size fr 42 and took the largest size to have the loose effect and it was perfect. The quality is my favorite one. So take it and don’t hesitate!!
I’m not a hijabi, but I started seeking out a swimsuit that would provide protection from the sun. Then when I discovered modest swimsuits like these, I FELL IN LOVE with the idea of also being able to swim in public without showing my body! I’ve definitely foregone swimming before because too many people were around and I just wasn’t comfortable. Not only will I not be getting sunburnt, but I’ll also not have to worry about being exposed in public!
So ANYWAY onto the swimsuit itself. It’s amazing. I’m 5’4” and 115 lbs and I bought a small. I definitely could have fit an XS just fine, but the S fits my broader shoulders exactly and I actually really ended up loving it being a bit looser fitting. It is SO chic, especially with the one arm color blocking that I will absolutely be wearing this as a dress as well and I think the looser fit will keep me much cooler even when not in the water.
The material is so soft and the leggings are so comfy too. Do note that the leggings are XXS-M so if you’re very tiny on the bottom, these might be loose on you for swimming. I’m a US size 2 though for reference and they’re perfect on me and stretchy enough to be comfy for a few sizes up from that as well.
Longest review ever, but I truly think this is absolutely worth the investment and I cannot wait to buy my mom one!
